Deep Space Sparkle

I really want Auri to be into art...but I find myself having her do store bought coloring books more than creating art work herself, that's why when I found this website I got excited. It just gives a bunch of artwork ideas for kids by age group. The above chicken and face were done by a first grader. Anyways, I know that some of you have kids or will someday, so I thought this site could be helpful in at least getting some ideas rolling. I've looked for sites like this and this is one of the best I've found with the emphasis focusing solely on art.

Under the Sea-Jason deCaires Taylor

More here.

Pretty cool naturalistic approach to art.

Awaiting Summer

I'm ready for it to stop snowing. This beautifully shot video just provokes my yearning for warmer days. I'm not particularly fond of the music so I suggest muting the sound and turning up what ever you have playing elsewhere as the soundtrack.

Master of Productivity

I'm floored by Brock Davis's productivity. From what I can gather, he took it on himself to "make something cool" everyday of 2009. I wonder what type of lifestyle he lives that allows that amount of creative free time.

Make Something Cool Every Day 2009:
One piece of creative work made every day for 365 consecutive days.
January 1st - December 31st. Enjoy.

Interactive Commercials: Fashion Edition

As television and the online world continue to merge I think creative interactive video campaigns will become more common place. I'm sure you've all seen these types of sites in the past, but I thought I'd show you a few notable Examples:

Tabio Socks: SlideShow
Even though I'm not in the market for decorative women's nylon socks, this unique micro site kept my interest.

Wrangler Europe: Bluebell
I'm not sure what the story is, but Wrangler in Europe is so much better than it is here in the US?

Diesel: A Hundred Lovers
This one made the rounds on the internet a long time ago, but is applicable here.

Robert Garcia: Childhood

These paintings are fairly large. I'd love to hang a few Robert's colorful gems around my home. I'm all about the content he chooses. Seems like I'm always partial to anything referencing childhood memories or youthful antics. I'm glad I stumbled upon his work, its just the motivational spark I needed to figure out my next project to keep me saine through the coming winter months of hibernation.
