The Fackrell Brothers

I recently finished a website for some friends of mine graduating from Art Center. It was a refreshing project, they let me basically do what I thought would look good, and wanted alot of my illustartions in there. LINK

And here's a link to another movie project I worked on with them Blood-O-Ween

Learning from Denise Scott Brown

I'm currently reading "Learning From Las Vegas," which is a study of Las Vegas' architecture by a a group from the Yale School of Art and Architecture in the 70's. It's a fascinating read namely because it examines the Strip and gives it more significance than the glitterly urban sprawl we usually associate it with. The designs in it are what I want to share, though. DSB graphically depicts aspects of the Strip that are genius. She shows the importance of the sign, symbol, and building in relation to speed (walking and driving) and creates maps that would otherwise only be conceivable through real perspective.

Camilla Engman

I was given permission to add a womans touch to this blog-so here is my attempt! I hope that no one is disappointed-I think that Camilla Engman is an awesome artist with great added quirkiness without being too over the top.

Attempted Photography

I'm not a photographer, but I thought I'd share a few photos from a trip I made to St. George Utah last weekend. Below is a test I did using my Camera's panorama mode.

Photographer Joey Lawrence

I came across a pretty cool photographer named Joey Lawrence yesterday. His work is amazing, and the fact that he is only 17 years old makes me want to stop what I'm doing and give up. Oh and yes, he's Canadian.

Sony Bravia: Color Campange

I think it was Breck who posted these guys' previous ads. This is their latest. I really enjoy their stuff. This was not done with computer animation. I watched the "making of" video. You can check it out and the other ads in hi-res on the their slick flash site. link

Nose Bleeder

Here's a recent illustration I've made. I've been in a real old Punk Rock mood lately. Its all I feel like listening to. Its similar to my phases with food. One month I'll eat non-stop pasta, the next month its turkey sandwiches. I'm the same with music. This month its all "The Clash", "Generation X" (check'em out if you haven't, its early Billy Idol), "Rancid", "Op Ivy", and even some of "The Kinks". Who knows maybe next month I'll be pure Patsy Cline?
