Most of hype right now about Kiel Johnson swirls around his stylized cardboard sculptures and his exaggerated mechanized contraptions. They're amazing, but I also really enjoy his illustration work. Its reminiscent of one of my favorites "Travis Millard" in line and Value.
Be sure and check out more of Kiel's work.

Mia Brownell "Still Life"
I never was really on board with still-life paintings of a fruit basket or flowers in a vase. But I could comfortably hang the work of Mia Brownell in my home. I never tire of her paintings due to the powerful movement and flow they have.

Recent painting - Acrylic on wood. Its been too long without painting. I need practice and it shows. This was a gift for a friend's 1 year old baby. Don't look too close.

Original take on Flip-Book Animation
I like these types of ideas. Ideas that use such basic materials everyone has access to and make a totally original piece of art.
