Branislav Kropilak: Compare and Contrast

Another German artist. I enjoyed all of his photos. Its interesting to see what he decided to capture and build a series out of. His garages and billboard shots are my favorites. Site Link

Eno Henze: Generative German Genius

Eno Henze is a generative artist. Which means a lot of his art is generated by computer, often by code that uses randomization and extremely advanced creative mathematic algorithms, similar to what Joshua Davis does. Here's a link to Eno's site. This may only be neat to me cause I'm currently working in the realm of code meeting artist expression.

More Documentary Photography goodness. This is a gallery of the 2007 and 2008 World Press Photo Award winners along with a video interview and the story behind each photo. There's also a nice loupe feature for looking at the photo details.

Jill Greenberg: Animal Glamour Shots

I don't know why but I"m finding lots of awesome photographers lately. Jill Greenberg does a lot of the standard metallic looking celebrity close-ups you see all the time, but she has a few series that I really liked. From what I can tell she takes these same surreal special lighting set ups she usese with celebrity shoots and shoots animals instead. I particularly liked her bear series. Her sites navigation is a little annoying but once you figure it out its alright. Here's her LINK

Denis Darzacq: Fascinating French Fotos

I saw some of this guys stuff awhile back but forgot to look into it. He's recently come out with a new series called "Hyper" which is a simple concept done in a powerful way. Check out all his photos: Denis Darzacq

St Geo Trip
Just a few photos from my memorial weekend trip to St. Geo. I'm starting to miss outdoorsy stuff like hiking and camping.
